I'm So Alone ...... Or Am I?

Have you ever felt alone in your Christian walk? Does it ever feel like you are the only one serving God? Does it feel like even God doesn't want anything to do with you? Elijah did. (Read 1st Kings 19.) Elijah even threw himself a pity party because he thought God had left him alone to fight all of his battles.

We may chuckle when we read about Elijah and think why would he think that way. God had anointed Him to do great things. Why would he be down and depressed feeling like things were hopeless? Then we face a trial of our own and we start to realize how Elijah could feel the way he felt.

You see as Christians we have been anointed by God. As soon as we were saved the Holy Spirit came to reside in us, to give us comfort and be with us throughout all our trials. When we get down and feel like we are all alone, we need to remember that God sent the Comforter (Holy Spirit) to us. We just have to ask Him to comfort us and be with us through the trial. Elijah thought he was all alone, but Elijah came to realize that he had God on his side and with God he could fight and win any battle.

We have to realize that we are not alone. God is with us every step of the way. Sure, it may seem like at times we are having to fight our battles alone, but God is always there for us. He loves us and cares for us. Sometimes His answer may take a while to reach us, but rest assured that God is taking care of the situation.

Just remember that when you get down and discouraged thinking you are the only one out there, that God is on your side and with God you can overcome anything. You are NOT alone.
